IP Restrictions are used to limit who can log into the DocStar site based upon the IP address from where they are coming.
IP restrictions are a way to disallow or allow ranges of 1 or more IP addresses access to a companies data on DocStar. For hosted or on premise solutions, the range of IP address restrictions ONLY applies to normal users. Super Admin users will not be blocked by IP restrictions.
All forms of IP address notations listed here are supported:
- CIDR Notation
- Basic IP address
- Network Masks
- Basic IP Ranges (192.168.0.1 – 192.168.0.20)
All the “Add New Restrictions” will add to the Added Restrictions Panel once the Add button is pressed.
All restrictions can be tested to see if an IP address is allowed.
You can flip the meaning of a restriction by selecting the “allow” checkbox once added.
